Kelly Max, 31, is co-founder, president, and CEO of Haufe USA, Inc. Kelly joined Haufe in 2013 to work with Haufe teams developing products and services to assist CHROs in building fluid, intrapreneurial organizations to meet the demands of the modern workplace. Kelly relocated to San Francisco in early 2014 to extend the Haufe brand into the U.S., using the Haufe team as living proof of the intrapreneurial concept.
Earlier in his career, Kelly was instrumental in building Reutax AG into Europe’s fastest-growing IT expert staffing company, with 2,000 employees. As employee Number 8, Kelly quickly rose to an executive position, leading teams that drove company revenues to $200 million and doubled year-over-year for seven years. One of Europe’s youngest intrapreneurial executives, Kelly oversaw operations in five countries and was elevated to the company’s board.
Kelly is the author of the “The Grid: The Art of Intrapreneurship,” a boldly practical guide to creating a culture of “agile intrapreneurship”—one in which job descriptions can’t contain individuals’ drive to invent new and improved processes, systems, products. Intrapreneurs want to make a difference, contribute to the organization’s success, and be acknowledged and appreciated for that contribution.
